Terms of service

Last updated 1 September 2026

These terms cover your use of Clocked. By installing or opening the app, or by creating an account, you agree to them.

The service

Clocked records time you track, and generates and delivers invoices based on that data and the settings you configure. We provide the tooling; the accuracy of what you track, the rates you set and the invoices you issue remain your responsibility.

Invoices and money

Clocked generates invoice documents and emails links to them. When you connect a Stripe account, the invoice page lets your client pay by card; that payment is processed by Stripe under Stripe's own terms and paid out to the bank account you register with Stripe. Clocked never holds your funds and is not a bank or a money transmitter. You may also settle invoices outside Clocked by whatever means you arrange with your client.

You are responsible for the tax treatment of your invoices, including whether tax should be charged and at what rate. The tax rows in a template are values you supply; we apply them arithmetically and make no representation that they are correct for your jurisdiction.

Automated sending

If you enable month-end automation, Clocked will generate and send invoices without further confirmation from you. You are responsible for keeping rates, clients and templates accurate. If you would rather review before anything is sent, configure the automation to prepare drafts instead.

Your account

Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@useclocked.app if you believe it has been accessed by someone else.

Acceptable use

Do not use Clocked to send fraudulent invoices, to harass anyone, or to break the law. Do not attempt to access other users' data or to disrupt the service for others.

Fees

Clocked has no subscription. Its only fee is a percentage of each invoice that a client pays online through Clocked — currently 1% of the amount paid, deducted automatically from that payment before Stripe pays it out to you. Stripe charges its own card-processing fees in addition. No fee applies to time tracking, to invoices you print or send without a payment link, or to invoices you mark paid by hand. We may change the percentage with at least thirty days' notice by email to account holders; the change applies only to payments made after it takes effect.

You can stop using Clocked at any time. Your data remains exportable afterwards, and you can ask us to delete your account at privacy@useclocked.app.

Availability

We work to keep Clocked available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Given that month-end automation runs on a specific day, we recommend confirming that invoices went out as expected — the invoice list shows the status of each.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Clocked is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater. We are not liable for lost profits or for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders before taking effect.
